Mallorca Wind Information and Forecasts
Mallorca's location on the Northern sea border of Africa, make the island "vulnerable" to the path of the dry Sirocco winds originating from the African dessert.

The mountainous nature of the island make wind conditions variable according to each location. At the Serra de Tramuntana mountainous area protects the rest of the island from the wind.
The island features waters ideal for wind powered sporting activities such as surfing and sailing, but surfers are advised to take extra caution on very windy days to avoid any accidents on the beach.
The Southeast area of the island is generally warmer and drier, as opposed to the mountainous Northwest regions where the winds are originating from.
