The capital of the Balearic Islands, Palma is a bustling city with a great variety of shops and restaurants. It is the largest city in Mallorca with nearly half a million residents.

As well as the commercial port, there are also 3 marinas within the bay of Palma, the Real Club Nautica, Club de Mar.

Palma Old City - Historical Center

The oldest part of Palma is the perfect area for walks, as you can get a good taste of the city's rich cultural history and classic Spanish architecture.

Catedral de Mallorca - Museo Catedralicio

The Palma Cathedral is a spectacular temple, also featuring the Cathedral Museum with exhibitions of religious paintings and silverware.

June to September - 6:15 pm
November to March - 3:15 pm

All weekends closed from - 2:15 pm

Tourist Sightseeing

Perhaps the best way to go through all the major sites is to get on the Palma Sightseeing bus, which takes you to Pueblo Español museum featuring some classical Mallorca architecture, and all the major shopping centres like Av. Jaume III and Porto Pi, where you can find local products and everything else you might need.

The bus also takes you to Castell de Bellver which is featuring great views of Palma bay and a museum with archeological and classical artifacts.

Banys Àrabs

Arab Baths building with heated floors and water making the rooms steamy, similar to a sauna. The building dates back to the 10th century and is definitely worth visiting.

Museo de Arte Español Contemporáneo

The Museum of Contemprary art features some classic works made by Picasso, Dali and other famous Spanish artists.

Saturdays - 10:30 am to 2:00 pm

Leisure Activities

Aqualand Water park

Fun water park featuring pools and complex slides.

Opening times:
May to early October - 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (May - June, September - October)
July to August - 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Other things to consider is to charter boats and sail/cruise around the island or further along the Balearics.
