Calvia town is a small town in the South West corner of the island which resembles authentic Majorquin style village arhitecture. One of the most popular travel and tourism destinations on Mallorca.
It's technically the administrative head of the district of Calvia, one of the most expensive regions of both Mallorca and Spain, encompassing Portals, Palmanova, Magalluf.
Calvia itself is a quite town, and has some good restaurants including Sant Joan, Ca'n Torrat.
Approximately 16 Km away from Palma de Mallorca and about 25 Km away from Palma de Mallorca Airport, Calvia is situated in the foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana and the Serra de Na Burguesa mountains.
Calvia borders to the East side with Palma, at the North side with Estellencs and Puigpunyent, and with Andratx on the West side. It is the second most populated area in Mallorca and also in the rest of the Balearics after Mallorca's capital Palma.
Near Magaluf, at the coastal-side of Calvia you can find many leisure activities including scuba diving mountain trekking and biking and others, find accommodation and everything you might need for spending holidays in this area of the island.
